Presence is the Most Important Part

Dear Dharma friends,

As 2024 comes to a close, it has never been more clear that your presence and practice is what makes this community a Dharma realm. Each time I see your faces online or in person, at the vihara or at a retreat center, it’s always uplifting. I feel a deep sense of gratitude but also mudita, joy sparked by the wholesome goodness that you are bringing into your own hearts and minds by practicing. Whether you are meditating, studying a text, listening to a talk, or sharing your questions and concerns, you are authentically seeking the Way. Wonderful! The Dharma will surely meet you where you are.

Indeed, the Dharma is not a dogma or a rule that unites us, but a shared wisdom. Today, I honor the shared wisdom that friends on the Noble Path are jewels to be appreciated.

Wishing you a safe and joyful start to the New Year!

With a smile and a warm greeting to each of you,
Dhammadīpā

NEW OFFERING

Chanting for those who need spiritual support

Day by day, as our community grows and becomes more connected, we hear of folks who are in need of some extra support. One simple, yet effective way to help those who are going through trying times is to chant for them.

That’s where DBC can help.

Dhammadīpā has long had a practice of offering daily chanting for folks in need. Now there is a simple method for letting us know who you would like to add to the list.
This is a beautiful way of expressing your care.

Please visit this online form to make your requests. We will honor all requests by chanting wholeheartedly!

Thank You for Your Support! And the Gap…

Our Fall Fundraiser came to a close at the end of November and, thanks to many generous hearts, we raised just over $14,500. All of us at DBC are profoundly grateful to those who contributed the funds that will help us offer even more practice opportunities in the coming year.

In the end, we fell nearly $1,500 short of our campaign goal of $16,000 and that means that we are just shy of breaking even for 2024.

Can you help us close the gap so we can begin 2025 stronger?

Visit our donation page today to make a contribution that will keep us all on the Path of peace.

Practicing together is our strength.
