Benefit for Buddhist Global Relief with Bhikkhu Bodhi

I recently had the wonderful joy of co-leading a retreat with Venerable Bhikkhu Bodhi, a respected translator of the Pali texts called the Nikāyas and the founder of Buddhist Global Relief. Together with the Venerables Jin Chuan and Jin Wei from Berkeley Buddhist Monastery, we offered a three day online retreat on the four brahma viharas: loving kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity. This retreat was a benefit for Buddhist Global Relief (BGR), a non-profit that works with local organizations around the world to address hunger, poverty, and lack of education for girls and women. I and the other Venerables are on the Board of Directors of BGR, and this is our first benefit retreat. We had a great turnout, and folks said that they found it very nourishing.

You can find the recordings on YouTube here. My sessions were on Day 1 in the afternoon and evening, and on Day 3 in the afternoon.

Please support BGR if you can. We are working to relieve suffering and generate compassion in a world that is crying.
