Our Name Says It All

Today's Giving Tuesday, a day to support wholesome goodness in the world by contributing financially.

At Dassanāya Buddhist Community, our name says it all. It is a community, not focused on a place or a single person but a gathering of people. And it is Buddhist, focused on the wisdom of the Noble Eightfold Path as a path of peace and compassion. And "Dassanāya" means "in order to see" or "for the purpose of seeing."

So our name means "a gathering of people for the purpose of seeing with Buddhist wisdom."
