Sutta Contemplation

This informal, drop in group will meet each week to contemplate the early Buddhist discourses that are compiled in the Pali Nikayas. Both experienced readers and those new to these texts are welcome. We will use a contemplative format whereby we read the teachings aloud, and then reflect on what they mean and how that lands for us.

Bhikkhu Bodhi’s text “In the Buddha’s Words” will be used to organize the order of readings. Copies of the book are available at the vihara and online, or feel free to bring your own copy.

Folks can attend in person at the vihara or online, using the weekly programs Zoom link (on the homepage).

This group is freely offered and supported by your donations.
