Letting our True Nature Shine Though Delusion

  • 1565 Mount Eagle Place Alexandria, VA 22302 US (map)

6 Weeks Tuesday Evenings:
Taught by Stephen Steiner
September 2 through October 7

The stories that we tell about ourselves are stories of incompleteness. We live our lives believing that something is missing, that something about us or our circumstances is not good enough, that something is lacking which prevents us from being happy. Yet, as the Buddha has taught us, these stories are just that--stories! What we truly are is something radically different than what we take ourselves to be.

When we understand ourselves to be incomplete, what flows from this wrong view is a mind full of struggle, a heart that is closed, and a life of suffering. But when we understand our true nature, what flows from that is a mind at peace, a heart open to the world, and a life without suffering.

Over the course of six weeks, we will explore the beautiful reality of what we truly are, how to practice with it, and how to let the joy of our true nature shine out into the world.

This is a drop in discussion that is offered by donation.
