Dassanaya Buddhist Community starts our fifth year with our annual celebration in the spirit of Kathina, the 2,500-year-old Buddhist festival occurring after the harvest full moon of autumn.
This joyous holiday is a time of giving, gratitude, decorations and good cheer - a Buddhist Thanksgiving and Christmas rolled into one.
Join the AUTUMN GATHERING and commemorate this important time when we and sanghas around the world appreciate each other for practicing together in myriad ways.
The entire community is warmly welcome to attend this celebration of Sangha. We’ll gather indoors at the vihara and online, share poetry, and hear talks by Kaili Mang Jeyarajah and Dhammadipa.
