Death Tearoom

  • 2506 Dewitt Avenue Alexandria, VA, 22301 United States (map)

What is a Death Tearoom?

Hosted by Debby Brautigam and facilitated by Dhammadipa.

A Death Tearoom is inspired by the global Death Café movement, which facilitates thinking and discussion around the often avoided subject of death.

Ours is a lightly facilitated gathering where we can freely discuss death while eating cake and drinking tea or coffee. We provide a safe space for an open conversation with a Buddhist spiritual presence. It is a discussion conducted in small groups with prompts from the facilitator, rather than a grief support or counseling session.

Note: This event takes place at a private home in Alexandria, Virginia and NOT at the vihara.

R.S.V.P. is required. Space is limited.
