What is a Death Tea Room?
Hosted by Dhammadīpā and Kaili Mang Jeyarajah.
At a Death Tea Room people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea, and discuss death. The intention is to become more aware of death and thereby make the most of living one’s life.
There is no agenda at the Death Tea Room other than to explore what death means. It is a discussion conducted in small groups with prompts from the facilitators, rather than a grief support or counseling session.
Refreshing drinks and and cake with be offered!
Note: This event takes place at a home in Washington DC and NOT at the vihara.
