Dassanaya’s Death Tearoom

  • 4321 Verplanck Place NW Washington, DC (map)

What is a Death Tearoom?

Hosted by Kaili Mang Jeyarajah and Facilitated by Dhammadipa.

A Death Tearoom is inspired by the global Death Café movement, which facilitates thoughts and discussion around the often avoided subject of death.

Ours is a lightly facilitated gathering where we can freely discuss death while eating cake and drinking tea or coffee. We provide a safe space for an open conversation with a Buddhist spiritual presence. It is a discussion conducted in small groups with prompts from the facilitator, rather than a grief support or counseling session.

Refreshing drinks and and cake with be offered!

Note: This event takes place at a home in Washington DC and NOT at the vihara.

Registration is required. Space is limited.
